Cal Jet Air celebrated the first flight from Los Angeles International (LAX) to the Islands of Loreto, Baja California South, Mexico (LTO) on April 28; the flight marks the beginning of Saturday service between the two cities. A celebration was held at LTO, VIPs included Rubn Reachi, Baja California South Secretary of Tourism, Jorge Avils, Municipal President of Loreto, George Wozniak, Vice President of Cal Jet Air, and Mario Corts, Project Director of Villa de Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, Baja California South.
?We?re excited about this new opportunity for air travel from LAX to Loreto,? said Paul Moreno, Vice President of Operations for Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, Baja California South. ?Our desire is to provide another means for guests from the United States and Canada to reach our beautiful resort, and enjoy the long list of amenities we have to offer.?
Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, Baja California South, Mexico, the newest luxury resort from the Villa Group, partnered with the privately held airline to begin non-stop air service to the Islands of Loreto, Baja California South, Mexico (LTO) on Saturdays. Moreno noted that Cal Jet was hoping to soon add an additional flight on Wednesdays.
Cal Jet departs from Los Angeles at noon. The noon departure time allows easy transfers with enough time for those connecting in to Los Angeles from other feeder cities throughout the West Coast, plus Arizona, Nevada and Texas. Rates for roundtrip airfare from LAX-Islands of Loreto (LTO) -LAX will be for all month of May and June 2nd: $ 299 for comfort round trip including fees and taxes and from June 9th the rate will be $ 499 for Comfort and $ 699 for first class, including fees and taxes. The plane arrives in Loreto at 3:15 p.m.; departures LTO to LAX are 4:15 p.m. ? 5:15 p.m. (There is an hour time difference between Loreto and Los Angeles; air time is approximately one hour, 45 minutes.) Meals are included; travelers can enjoy Cal Jet?s spacious Boeing 737-400.
